Small Groups

What is a Small Group Study?
Small Groups meet within a home of a person or couple of the group. It's a time of fellowship, prayer, and study. Christian approved books and videos on various subjects that teach sound Biblical principles are discussed, motivating spiritual growth in the Christian's daily walk of faith. Some groups utilize the RightNow Media resource which contains 10,000+ Bible Study videos.

Small Groups usually consist of five to fifteen people. They offer a safe, confidential place in which every group member is known and appreciated. They provide a welcoming, affirming place for interested seekers, newly committed believers, and maturing believers dealing with questions, doubts and struggles.

Small Groups keep participants from feeling "lost in the crowd" and give every member a place where they can belong and be ministered to by fellow believers. Small Groups are fun; laughter and humor are very much a part of the experience within the group.

Centennial Park Baptist Church encourages you to consider being part of a Small Group. Study requests from those wishing to participate and requests to host are most welcome and can be forwarded to the church. For more information (such as times, dates, and locations) concerning our Small Groups, call the church office at 905-945-8932 or through the Contact Page.

Family Prayer Meetings

Last Tuesday night of the month at 7:00pm
Some members of our church body gather together to pray over the needs of our community. A devotional or testimony starts the evening off. The evening is an informal gathering where you are welcome to pray for whatever is of concern to you. The meeting formally closes after about an hour, but you're welcome to come and go as needed. Intentional prayer is often a vital missing component to the life of the modern Christian. Traditionally, prayer meetings were used to come together as a body of believers in preparation for Communion Sunday (once a month). What a blessing it would be if we could model to the next generation this tradition that has been lost.

There are other groups you may find fit your schedule. For event details, check the weekly bulletin within the Resources section of the web site.
