HOW DO YOU MAKE THE DAYS COUNT?

In Luke 2: 25-35, we read about a man called SIMEON. His name means ONE WHO HEARS AND OBEYS. He was a just and devout man in Jerusalem who awaited the coming of Jesus, the Messiah. Like Simeon, we also await the coming of the Messiah, His Second Coming. As 2009 gets underway……..

During the past year we have witnessed changes in governments, chaos in the financial world, and cataclysmic attacks on other human beings.

Yet through it all GOD HAS NOT CHANGED!

He is the same yesterday, today and forever – Hebrews 13:8. And, He has promised to be with us to the very end. – Matthew 28:20

He is our Strength when we are weak – Psalm 46:1

Our Guide when paths grow dark – Proverbs 3: 5-6

Our Support when we are aimless or anxious – Philippians 4:6

Our Joy when laughter fades – Nehemiah 8:10

Our Teacher when we need guidance and direction – I Corinthians 2: 12-13

Our Hope when we are in despair – Isaiah 41:10

Our Friend when we feel lost or lonely – Proverbs 18: 24

And the One who Keeps us going when the way seems weary and long – Isaiah 40: 28-31

He refreshes us for He is the Spring of Living Water – John 4:14

HE IS OUR ALL IN ALL

As we enter 2009, let’s hold on to the God of the universe, who, since the beginning of time, ordained that we should live FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS – Esther 4:14

Throughout 2009, may we continue to grow in Him and learn of Him. May we soar on eagle’s wings and not grow weary because His Spirit enables us to enter each new day – Isaiah 40:31 May we be a help to the helpless and shed the Light of the World, Jesus Christ our Lord, to a world that seems to get darker each year. Matthew 5: 14-16
